Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing all of my friends a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all have an absolutely fabulous day whether you are with family or wishing you could be.

Remember that we all have so much to be thankful for today and everyday!  Some day's it might be a little more difficult to find those special blessings but they are there if we just take the time to look for them.

While I won't be cooking this year - and won't be spending the day with the grand baby - I will be with Mountain Man (the love of my life) and my mom while Melissa, Justin and Lorelai spend Thanksgiving with Justin's family in Lakeland.  We are going out for dinner today (that's a first for us) and I'm looking forward to not having to spend another day in the kitchen!  (ten hours last Sunday was enough for a while)

I have been thinking a lot about this blog and I have made some decisions - I have decided that I am going back to the original roots of this blog - a personal journal of what is happening in my life.

I have tried too hard to make my blog fit into what I thought people wanted to read.  I looked at too many other blogs that had hundreds of followers and tried to mold mine to what they were doing.  And I lost the desire to post anything.

Well, no more.

I might, occasionally, post a DIY project, and I might continue to post the weekly menu - but that is not going to be the main focus.  Mostly, I will use this as a journal - or diary- of what is happening around here.  If I have some people that follow my rants and raves that would be great, but the "parties" are going to be discontinued.

For the few of you that read - I hope you will continue, because I do love to hear from you - and I am very thankful for you - but if you don't I understand.

See you later!

Hugs -
Carol

  1. Hope you had a wonderful day with two of the most special people in your life. Actually, Carol, I always read your blog but since I don't like to cook I'm not wild about the menus/recipes, etc. BUT I do love reading about your day-to-day life. So I'm looking forward to reading more!

    1. Thanks Linda! It is good to know that you still read the blog - I hope that it will be more "me" in the future! Wishing you and Darrell a very Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. You are amazing! For month I'm trying to figure out, why I don't feel like posting anymore, why I felt "pressured" and had no drive. I believe you just nailed it! (if you look at the amount of posts I wrote this year compared to last, you'll understand)
Hope you had a wonderful time today! I had to work, as we had our Thanksgiving already last month.
Hugs and have a great weekend,
    Sue

    1. Hi Sue - Why is it that we feel like we have to fit the mold of what every one else is doing - why can't we just be ourselves? I'm glad that we can just be ourselves! Take care my friend!

Where does time go?

I have really fallen off the blogging wagon I guess.  I can't seem to get a schedule down so I don't post - but it's been almost...
