It just seem like I don't get to do what I think I'm going to do.
This is the third week of the one room challenge over
at Calling it Home.
I always have these great plans that just don't seem to happen.
Last week I planned on putting up the bead board wallpaper over the weekend.
Well, that didn't happen.
We did work in the room -
I just didn't get done what I thought I would.
So, what did we do -
Well,
how about some paint on the walls?
The room is now a nice soft blue.
That's all I was able to accomplish this week.
It's a beginning, isn't it?
Sure it is!
Let's see what I'm able to get done this weekend.
If you want to check out all the
others who have accepted this challenge
(and probably get way more done than I am)
drop over to Calling it Home
and check them out.

See you next week!

Having it painted is great, don't feel rushed (look who's taking). We always seem to have a couple of productive weekends lately and then a lot of slacking ones. And you have the wee one to take care of a the same time, where our not so wee ones have to help (disadvantage of having DIY parents and living at home).

Yes, we are not able to do anything during the week - since this is "her" room when it is nap time - guess where she is sleeping? Yep, in the room! It's okay - it will get done - sooner or later. It just might not get finished in the time frame of the challenge - and if not, well I'll do the best I can.
DeleteCarol! At least you posted! I was out of town last week - and like you, had high hopes of getting so much done! Did I get much done - not so much. I had to race around like a crazy woman this week to try and accomplish something! You are NOT alone in this ORC!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's why they call it The Challenge! :)
Thanks Barclay! I know what you mean - I feel like all I do is make excuses for not getting stuff done - but I really do feel like things are coming together - just not as fast as I would like. Hang in there - we both will get it done!
DeleteI know how you feel! But just getting paint up is a huge change and a great start!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rebecca! I have to keep telling myself - at least the paint in on the walls! LOL!
DeleteYou painted a room and you are not jumping for joy? Whoot, whoot...you are done with the painting. One week, one day at a time. Just ask yourself if you are further than when you started? Everyone who tries, wins. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda - just don't know if I'm going to get it finished in time for the final reveal. I'll keep trying though!
DeleteBeing the slowest painter EVER, I think getting your room painted in a week is pretty darn awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kris - I'm working on it!
DeleteI sympathize - it's taken me 2 weeks to paint 4 small walls and 1 small ceiling! The blue is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Carol, it's always like that, loving the blue though. :-)
